1. Are all client sessions confidential?
All client sessions are confidential as we adhere to the code of ethics of the association that we belong to.
2. Can I be hypnotized against my will?
Generally not since for a hypnosis session to be successful the full cooperation of the person being hypnotized is required.
3. Will I just stay in hypnosis forever if no one brings me out of it?
No, you will naturally become awake, just like you wake up every morning. A hypnotized person can also bring themselves out of the state of hypnosis instantly if they feel threatened in any way.
4. Can only certain people be hypnotized?
Many years of research have shown that most people can be hypnotized if they want to be.
5. Are there any dangers associated with hypnosis?
Since hypnosis is a natural phenomenon relying on a deep state of relaxation research of the last few hundred years has produced not a single case of evidence to suggest that hypnosis has any side effects or is harmful in any way.
6. Is hypnosis recognised medically?
In the UK, USA and Australia, hypnosis and hypnotherapy is well regarded as a complementary medical practice. In South Africa there still seems to be a degree of scepticism which is difficult to understand given the astounding and quick benefits of this mode of therapy.
